Plan And Quote
Send us the plans and the electrical layout. You get a fixed scope and an upfront price, not a provisional sum that moves later.
From temporary site supply through to the final fit off and your Certificate of Electrical Safety. We work to the plan and to the builder's program, so the next trade is never waiting on us.
Three fields. We come back with an upfront price for your new home builds.
What The Package Covers
A new home package is not a list of power points. It is a sequence, and every stage has to land in the right week or the trade behind you stops. This is what a Bernard Electrics package includes as standard.
Site power and safety switches set up so the frame, the chippies and the concrete crew have compliant power from day one.
Underground or overhead mains run in and terminated, meter box positioned and prepared, ready for the distributor.
Every circuit run through frame before the plasterer arrives. Lighting, power, dedicated appliance circuits, exhaust fans and heating and cooling supplies.
A properly sized board with RCD protection on the circuits the Wiring Rules require it on, plus spare ways so the house can grow later.
Cat6 and TV runs pulled at the same time as the power, which is the only cheap time to do it.
Points, switches, lights, fans, oven and cooktop connections, exhausts and smoke alarms all fitted, labelled and tested.
Every circuit tested and a Certificate of Electrical Safety issued for the prescribed work, which is what the building surveyor and your lender will want to see.
One walk through with you or the builder, and anything on the list closed out before we call it finished.
Fit off is the part people see. Rough in is the part that decides whether the house works.
Stage By Stage
Send us the plans and the electrical layout. You get a fixed scope and an upfront price, not a provisional sum that moves later.
Site power in early so the trades behind us are never working off a neighbour's lead.
Booked against your frame inspection date. Cables run, boxes set, board position prepared, ready for plaster.
After paint and joinery. Points, switches, lights, fans, appliances and alarms all fitted and set.
Full test, board labelled, Certificate of Electrical Safety issued and handed over.
Scope
The base package covers a compliant, working house. The second column is the work that is far cheaper now, while the walls are open, than it will ever be again.
Who We Work With
We read the program, we book against your inspection dates, and we tell you early if a variation is going to move the rough in. No chasing, no surprises on the fit off week.
You get the same package and the same certification, plus someone who will explain the electrical plan in plain English before you sign off on it. Most owner builders under order points and over order downlights, and that is worth a conversation before rough in.
Metering, sub mains and individual unit distribution boards set up so each dwelling is separately metered and separately protected from the start.

Questions
Both. We run new home electrical packages for builders on a program, and we work directly with owner builders who are managing their own trades. Either way the scope is written down and priced upfront before we start.
Twice for the main work, plus the temporary supply at the start. Rough in happens once the frame is up and before the plasterer, and fit off happens after paint and joinery. We book both against your program dates rather than guessing.
Yes. Every circuit is tested and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for the prescribed electrical work. That is what the building surveyor will be looking for, and it is included, not an extra.
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to do it. Running a dedicated circuit and conduit to the garage during rough in costs a fraction of chasing it in after the walls are closed. The charger itself can go on years later.
Not always. It depends on your total load. A large home with ducted heating and cooling, a pool, a workshop or a fast EV charger can justify it. We work out the maximum demand from your plans and tell you honestly whether single phase will carry the house.
Yes. Cat6 data, TV and comms are roughed in at the same time as the power circuits, which is the only cheap time to run them. Positions are set with you before we pull anything.
It depends on the size of the house, the number of circuits, single or three phase supply, and how far the mains have to run. Send us the plans and the electrical layout and we will give you a free, itemised quote with the scope written down.
